Held senior positions in architectural practices in Scotland, England, Berlin and Ethiopia before establishing a practice in 1997 and studio KAP in 2002. Prior to this, his role as project architect in Oxford with Maguire & Co. involved sensitive alterations to historic University buildings of the highest quality as in Magdalen College and new buildings in the grounds of ChristChurch and Corpus Christi College. He has published and lectured widely in the UK and abroad and is both senior lecturer and Director of Graduations Studies in The Architecture Department at Strathclyde University and Director of studioKAP.
