Waddell House

A beautifully designed extension enhances the garden of a house in Pollokshields, Glasgow.jpg

The project is about re-inhabiting the existing stone walls of a Victorian villa in different ways, facilitating new patterns of family living at a time approaching 150 years after the house was originally built.

The centre of gravity of the dwelling is quite significantly shifted, new internal relationships are unlocked and the house now relates in an entirely different way to its garden.
