Sandyford Clinic

The welcoming reception and waiting area of a new health clinic with a window seat in Parkhead, Glasgow.jpg

The new health clinic infills the open corner of a double-cross existing plan, consolidating the corner of two streets and creating a small, sheltered courtyard between new and old.

Externally a timber and galvanised steel façade screens a more private world behind a foil of trees. The building resolves social issues of inhibition and discretion alongside clinical effectiveness in a welcoming internal environment.
