A new extension to a multi-extended 18th/19th century cottage in a spectacular rural setting is designed to enjoy the open aspect towards the distant hills while forming an architecturally meaningful connection internally and externally to the existing stone and slate house.

The new work, built of timber frame, zinc roof and clad in second hand slates, is a pavilion which leans against the existing house.
