Doing things well

Doing things well

Richard Sennet describes “doing something well for its own sake” as the definition of craft, whether it is woodworking or parenting.

We recognise the craft of making buildings when we experience it face to face- qualities which evidence a culture of the well-made. In Studio KAP, we also care about a culture of the well thought-out; where ingenuity and creativity inform how and why something is made.

We sense that thought-investment in the experience of our spaces; how they flow or are lit by sunshine; how they relate to the outside and in other quiet, considered, and thoughtful ways.
